Storytelling Resources

This page is intended to provide additional resources for readers of my articles on telling stories to kids. In connection with Part 1 - Learning a Stock of Easy-to-Tell Stories, I have provided a list of some good books of different types of stories, with links to allow you to purchase these books through Circle Time's association with Amazon.com. I also have some links for finding free story texts on the internet. Additional resources will be added from time to time as I come across them or in connection with future articles in this series. The Penguin and Puffin paperbacks are generally much cheaper than the illustrated books, and are well suited to a parent who wants to read and learn the stories and then later tell the stories to the children. The illustrated books, on the other hand, can serve double duty as a story-source for the parent and as a picture book for reading to the child.
